References to the surname Mastromonaco include a record of the christening of Michele Mastromonaco which took place on the 30th of July, 1826 in San Severo, Foggia, Italy and the birth of Domenico Mastromonaco which is recorded on the 11th of May, 1888 in Morrone del Sannio., Campobasso. According to the New York Passenger Lists for the years 1820-1957, one Giovan Mastromonaco who was born in Italy in 1847, sailed from the port of Naples aboard the ship "Neustra" and arrived into the port of New York on the 3rd of May, 1894. In the World War I Draft Registration Cards, Luigi Mastromonaco who was born on the 24th of May, 1889, is recorded as living in Bayonne, Hudson, New Jersey.

Michele Mastromonaco was born in Morrone del Sannio, Italy. He married Maria Luigia Iorio and had twin sons named Angelantonio "Angelo" Mastromonaco and Fortunato "Fred" Mastromonaco born December 27, 1893. Both Angelantonio and Fortunato arrived in the United States at the age of eighteen. Angelantonio arrived in the united states in July of 1911 and Fortunato arrived in September of 1912. Angelantonio Mastromonaco married Incordinata "Dorothy" Carducci and had two children, a son named Michael "Mike" Anthony Mastromonaco, and a daughter named Asunda Mastromonaco ( married name Sierra ). Asunda Mastromonaco married Martin Sierra. Michael "Mike" Anthony Mastromonaco married Carmela “Ella” Celauro and had three sons.
